This is what I've read so far...It's from another post in this forum...The talk here is about the MRVC...
"The western division is Harrisonville,Excelsior Springs,Odessa,Oak Grove, Grain Valley and Pleasant Hill so far. I had heard they were looking at Warrensburg but nothing is confermed. They want 8 teams in each. The eastern division so far is Knob Noster,Richmond,Carrollton,Lexington, Higginsville LC and Boonville. Other teams they are thinking about for eastern are Trenton and Holden. Sacred Heart is in the Kaysinger Conference with Cole Camp 11man and Hughesville 8man. That would be awesome if it would push some of the other teams in kaysinger to have football. It would be a good football conference. Elsberry and clopton are in Eastern Missouri conference EMO. Oh and Forsyth is in southern Missouri down by Branson. I believe they are in the southwest central league but may be force out because of their football program. They were trying to get into the midlakes conference but i dont think they were accepted. I had also heard that El Dorado Spring was looking at the midlakes conference but i havent read anthing else on it. Thats all i know for now."
Now, the schools listed there that don't have varsity programs currently, I'm not sure if they already play JV or not...As you know, Missouri's alignment systems allows schools to be come varsity programs every two years...That would mean that these schools would have to be currently playing JV schedules to become varsity programs in 2008...
Also, to replace Excelsior Springs, I've heard that Platte County will likely move up and move into the Suburban Small 6...That, in turn, would leave an opening in the Midland Empire Conference...
We'll just have to wait and see how things turn out....I now know that I need to make another forum called "Conference Changes" like I have on the Illinois site....That way, people can send conference changes and I can update them next February (hopefully)....
Hope this answers your question somewhat...
Mike
