The Missouri High School Helmet Project

Okay I have information about three different Lawson Helmets...

Before we started wearing our current helmets (we started wearing those in 1999) we had solid silver helmets, like the ones we wear now just without the logo. And before 1996 we had helmets just like Tipton & the old South Shelby helmets. I haven't seen anything before those, so I'm thinking that's as far back as I can figure out.

There's also one in our trophy case that's signed by the players of this year's team state championship team that is white with a black middle stripe & two red stripes enclosing that black one. It also sports the current logo and has a red facemask. It was put up in an auction for the Librarian at the HS in Lawson that has brain cancer and was donated back to the school by the winning bidders.

Let me try and understand this....The current helmet is 1999-Current, then the plain helmet is 1996-1998? The one before that is ?-1995? Do you know what color the facemask of that helmet is and is the red in the logo actually red or cardinal like on the other helmets and the old St. Louis/Arizona Cardinals helmet??

If I can get that information, I can make these...

The current ones are 1999-Current
The plain Silver are 1996-1998 (The same as the current helmets minus the logo)
The Cardinal One is ??-1995 And the person I talked to looked at the Tipton ones and said they looked like those so that's what I know. I haven't seen those since I was a little kid.

If there's a way you could find out about this "display" helmet, I can add it also...I'll just need approximate dates of it's use...

The ?-1995 and 1996-1998 helmets are completed and have been added to the site...

I'll leave this topic here until we find out more about this mystery helmet...

Yeah... from people in town I talked to about it, Idk that it's actually been worn. I was wondering if they did or not, since I didn't get a chance to go to all of the games this year. So it appears to be just the auction helmet (which I'm not sure why they didn't just use a regular helmet, but oh well). I'll try to find out more, but it appears that it's not been used during games.
